One of the best decisions of my life which help me to be a part of Asia’s Biggest IT Company is giving TCS off campus drive and if you are also preparing for the same then it is must know TCS Syllabus for Recruitment.
I also completed my college degree in 2018, so personally, I know what are the things you should prepare before going for an interview.
Let me tell you one thing for TCS recruitment is if you clear TCS aptitude Exam than a chance of getting selected in personal interview and Technical round is very high.
And also TCS is one of the best companies in India for employees. So, if you are trying in TCS off campus drive than I will suggest focussing on TCS interview only for a time.
Ok, if you finally decided to give interview than this post will surely help you to understand the TCS off campus interview pattern very clearly.
In the past, like other companies, TCS also take email writing exam during the recruitment process but now they eliminated this stage during an interview.
You have to only prepare for this 4 section which is listed below:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Programming Logic MCQ’s
The second and third part will be multiple choice questions. And answer based. In the 4th section i.e. coding round, you have to write a program for a given question in any programing language.
So, for the 3rd and 4th section I will suggest to focus on the c language, as c is very simple language and most of the question from the 3rd section will be based on the c language.
For all 4 round, you will get 90 minutes. I will suggest looking into below table to understand the timing structure for the exam.

TSC off campus drive syllabus
For 2020 pass out TCS Exam syllabus is changed now. You have to follow the latest exam pattern if you want to get hired in this recruitment.
We will discuss all section asked in exam one by one, let’s start with the verbal section.
Before going for an interview the first thing you have to prepare is basic of English grammar. A question like Adjective prepositions tense related question will be asked in this section.
In TCS aptitude exam, you will get 15 questions based on basic English grammar where you have to fill in the blanks from given options. You can easily crack this section if you know the basics of English.
Here you have to study hard. Quantitative section is one of the most important sections in TCS NQT Syllabus.
If you attempting TCS Interview then make sure you study hard for this section. You will get a total of 15 questions, which you have to answer. Of the most important thing which is important during this section is timing.
Make sure you give appropriate time for each and every question. Don’t focus on only one question, Try to solve as many questions as you can.
Here are some topics from the Quantitative section which you should check for TCS Exam:
- Time and Distance
- Allegation and mixture
- HCF and LCM
I Think of the easiest and scoring section which you can target for this exam is this section. The only thing which you should focus on this section is C Language and data structure theory part.
If you know this 2 part then you can easily crack TCS interview. Some of the questions from this round you will solve within a 10 second if you prepare very well.
Some of the topics which I think you should cover before going for TCS exam is:
- Basic C
- All Type Of Loops
- Data types
- Memory Allocation
- File Handling
- Structure or Paramide Program
you can also check our placement paper section for Coding question example and solution.
Coding /Command Line Section
The main section which will test your coding knowledge in an exam is this section. here you have to write the program for given question in the command line using any one of the languages like C/C++/Java/Perl/Python.
TCS use their command line for taking the exam, so one of the disadvantages is that most of the classes and tags which we use and learn during college life are not supported here.
You have to use all the standard classes in this section.
Also one of the worst things about this compiler is, it takes 1,2 minute for compiling the normal simple code.
So, this all are the things which you have to go through before the exam. As I already said, if you are able to crack this exam you chances of getting selected is more.
All the best, give you 100% and get hired by one of the best IT companies in the world.
